I'm Driek van der Meulen, a software engineer and creative from Maastricht who loves building things that feel alive — digital systems that are functional, fast, and have a sense of flow. I work mostly with TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind, and Node.js, crafting full stack applications that balance technical precision with strong design thinking. I care about the small details, the kind that make software feel thoughtful rather than just efficient.

At 35®, I'm part of a team that creates immersive digital experiences — websites, platforms, and tools that blend strategy, design, and technology. We like to operate as partners, not just builders, and I've learned to approach projects holistically, from architecture and user experience to content structure and animation. I enjoy translating complex problems into simple, elegant solutions that make sense both to developers and users.
Outside of 35®, I run my own company where I explore experimental projects and creative ideas that don't fit into the traditional workflow. One of those is Glam-A-Bam, a glam rock band with young and exciting artists that I manage. It's loud, chaotic, and fun — and honestly, it keeps me sharp. Running a band means handling logistics, branding, social presence, and technical setups, which ends up overlapping with a lot of the creative process I use in development. It reminds me that energy, emotion, and story matter as much in music as they do in code.
I like to keep learning and experimenting — whether that's exploring motion design, tinkering with backend systems, or finding new ways to connect digital experiences with the physical world. When I'm not building something new, you'll probably find me cooking, ricing my Linux setup, or working on a new track in Ableton with a glass of wine nearby.
